NextGen Spring Launch - Play for Purpose: Jan 2026

We kicked off the spring semester with one of our most exciting events yet, Play for Purpose! More than just a game night, the event brought students together for an evening of friendly competition while raising support for Filter of Hope's mission to provide clean water and share hope with communities in Belize.

From the moment students walked through the doors, the atmosphere was full of excitement. Teams competed in crowd-favorite games like The Price Is Right, Trivia, and a spirited World Cup challenge, with prizes on the line and plenty of laughs along the way. Between competitions, our student leaders shared the heart behind NextGen, introducing new members to our mission of developing leaders who make an impact both locally and globally.

Throughout the night, attendees learned about our Global Impact initiatives, including our partnership with Filter of Hope and the upcoming trip to Belize, where volunteers would help provide access to clean water while building relationships with local communities. We also highlighted the ways students can serve closer to home through our Local Impact initiatives and encouraged everyone to get involved through mentorship and upcoming service opportunities.

Of course, no game night would be complete without great food! Everyone enjoyed a delicious Popeyes dinner while getting to know new friends, cheering on competitors, and celebrating the start of a new semester together.

The evening concluded with an exciting raffle, where every ticket purchased helped support our Belize fundraising efforts. By the end of the night, we had not only crowned a few game champions but also taken meaningful steps toward making a global impact. Play for Purpose reminded us that having fun and serving others can go hand in hand, and it was the perfect way to launch another semester of community, leadership, and purpose.
