NextGen Friendsgiving: Nov 2025

Nothing brings people together quite like good food, and our Friendsgiving was no exception! In November, the JHU NextGen family gathered for an evening filled with gratitude, laughter, and a table full of delicious homemade comfort food.

As students arrived, they were seated at tables based on their dinner cards, giving everyone a chance to meet someone new. Together, each table completed their "Thanksgiving meal," while members added notes to our Thanksgiving Wall, sharing the people, experiences, and blessings they were most thankful for this year.

The room quickly filled with energy during a lively game of Thanksgiving Taboo before we slowed down for a meaningful discussion on gratitude and community. We also spent time writing encouraging letters to our loved ones, a simple but heartfelt way to remind each person that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Then came everyone's favorite part of the night: dinner. From juicy chicken and creamy mashed potatoes to warm gravy, buttery bread, corn, cranberry sauce, and all the classic Thanksgiving favorites, the meal was one to remember. More than just great food, it was an opportunity to gather around the table, share stories, laugh together, and continue building the friendships that make NextGen feel like home!

We closed the evening with announcements about upcoming events, a group photo to capture the memories, and full hearts as we celebrated another semester of growing together in community!
