NextGen First Meeting: Sep 2025

We held our first JHU Board Meeting at The Bagelry, where our newly selected leaders came together to build relationships, establish expectations, and prepare for the year ahead. Through team-building activities, leadership discussions, and our WIDGET personality activity, board members learned more about one another, signed the leadership covenant, and discussed upcoming opportunities, including the Leadership Offsite and All Team Meeting.

Following lunch, we welcomed students to our first general NextGen meeting of the semester. New members introduced themselves, shared what inspired them to join NextGen, and connected through fun games and meaningful conversations. We introduced NextGen's vision and values, discussed what it takes to build a strong team, and encouraged members to reflect on how they hoped to grow throughout the year.

The meeting concluded with an overview of upcoming local and global service initiatives, collaborative planning for leadership camp and fundraising projects, and announcements about future events, including the opportunity to serve at Food on the Hill (FOH). The day laid a strong foundation for a year of leadership, service, and community.
